Acquired in the Mike Schwartz trade with Sussex County on July 1st, this is Soto's first season outside of affiliated baseball, as well as his first in the Can-Am League.

Soto was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2013 in the 16th round. He played three years in the organization, working his way up from short season A Hillsboro to Single-A Kane County. He was releasead following the conclusion of the 2015 season.

His best season as a pro came in 2014, his second year with Hillsboro, when he hit .256, three home runs, and drove in 23 runs in only 51 games. With Sussex County before the trade, Soto hit .231 with one home run and 14 RBI against Can-Am pitching.

He was a first team All-Big East selection as a senior at Pitt. He was also the top ranked prospect in the state of New York as a senior in 2011 by Perfect Game, and in high school, he was asked to join the U18 United States National baseball team.
